.NET Framework-Based Vehicle Speed Enforcement Application
The client is a prominent global business and IT consulting firm based in the USA, specializing in the development and implementation of technology solutions. One of their customers provides a comprehensive offshore speed monitoring service, which includes vehicle speed monitoring, ticket issuance, and integration with license plate reader and camera devices.
Challenges: The client needed to create a secure, integrated, user-friendly platform that supported multiple databases for efficient vehicle monitoring. Key features included generating online speed alarms, issuing tickets, and monitoring traffic using various databases as the backend.

Solution: We developed a multi-database compliant system using the .NET Framework, offering a secure platform for monitoring vehicles. Three main applications were built: a License Data Puller Service to retrieve number plate reads from third-party sources, a Speed Calculator Service to track vehicle entries and exits, calculate speed, and raise alarms for speeding violations. The system also imposed thresholds on alarms and stored the data in databases. Additionally, a web application was developed to display alarms, generate tickets, and present traffic patterns to users.
Outcome: This SaaS-based platform significantly improved the ability of authorities to manage traffic more effectively, reduce missed violations, and increase revenue. Beyond alarm generation and ticket issuance, the system also helped track traffic patterns over time, monitor flagged vehicles, and report information to relevant authorities.
